Sculpture: 'Architectural Illusion' at Vitulano marble Symposium

Marino Di Prospero to realize the work "Architectural Illusion" that will characterize the VII edition of the Symposium of sculpture of marble of Vitulano (scheduled from 7 to 16 August in the municipality in the province of Benevento) dedicated to the artist Fabrizio Lorenzani. This was decided by the Commission chaired by the mayor Raffaele Scarinzi who met today in the town hall. "All the works - worthy of consideration - have a value that is expressive force even with the memory of a great artist like Fabrizio Lorenzani" affirms the mayor Scarinzi. The commission, present the artistic director prof. Leonardo Scarinzi, analyzed The level of the different works presented this year, "a level is very high, so the choice of the commission was very difficult" as the mayor pointed out.

The choice fell on the artist Marino Di Prospero who, notes the Commission, "certainly reflects the adherence of the work to the theme, but also to the particular characteristics of Vitulano marble". The artist notes in the application form: "The theme of the 'Transcendence' competition is very relevant to my sculptural expression. The sculpture entitled 'Architectural illusion' is a plastic form, very simple and minimal, but at the same time very bold, it is an optical illusion of a geometry that is not immanent but impossible ". And again: "The triangular shape twisted on itself is placed inclined on a triangular base, it projects itself into the transcendent space in search of a static and above all mental balance. This geometric element in its contortion takes on an organic and therefore vital value, therefore it is interactive. " "The quality of the project proposals has been really high, giving us all an enormous burden and honor" says the delegate councilor of the Samnite municipality, Emanuele Calabrese, and adds: "this year's Symposium will be truly a great success".
