How to take professional photos with my mobile?
A real camera at your fingertips? Nowadays only photographers have it. Each of us usually uses the cell phone camera. But how can you take beautiful photos with your smartphone? Do you want to know all the tricks to get professional photos? Then keep reading!
1. Don't move
Perhaps the most important thing you can do to take better photos is to simply hold your phone steady. Taking a photo while walking is not easy and the blur can ruin the photograph.
Rest easy and hold your phone with two hands, grabbing both sides. Hold the phone close to your body and not with your arms stretched out in front of you. For added stability, the elbows should be resting against the body and the arms should form an angle of approximately 45 degrees with the body.
Also wait a second or two after taking each photograph, especially if in motion. The camera may still be working on the shot.
One more tip for iPhone: the photo takes only when the finger is removed from the shutter button. So for a better photo, avoid pressing the button, just drag your finger across the screen. This prevents the camera from moving.
2. Macro Photography
Just like compact cameras, smartphones offer excellent performance for macro photography. This has to do with their compact sensor for close focus. The great thing is that you can easily get a blurry background in a macro picture. This produces a good result and focuses on the sharp subject and not the background of the photograph.
3. Pay attention to the light and its angles
The best photos with the smartphone depend on the light of the photographed environment. Obviously, there is less light during the night and the final result can drop in level. Unfortunately, the camera flash does not completely solve this problem.
It must be taken into account that the light varies at different times of the day. Early in the morning at dawn and in the late evening just before sunset are the best times to have an ideal light. If there is not enough light, the photograph will be apologetic or poorly defined.
The HDR mode found on many smartphones helps to optimize the available light. In this mode, multiple images with different exposures are merged into one image.
4. Help yourself with the Apps
Of course it is very easy to use the default camera application. But there are also many other applications that are worth trying. Each application specializes in different types and styles of photography.
There are also many applications like Instagram that with a simple filter can give your photo a new look. Filters allow you to moderate an image: for example a black and white or high contrast photograph. This operation hides the often poor image quality.
5. Use Accessories
There are many useful accessories available to get different and better photos with your smartphone. For example, a tripod can be useful for preventing camera shake. Or, this little lens you see in the image allows you to get a different perspective on the world.
6. Ignore digital zoom
Many phones allow zooming. In most cases it is digital zoom, rather than optical zoom. Digital zoom is nothing more than a crop of the whole photograph. This certainly does not improve image quality.
It therefore ignores the zoom function of the camera. Do you want to photograph an object up close? Take a few steps closer. In most cases it can be the best choice for perfecting the quality of an image.
7. Clean the camera lens
In a "real" camera you are usually careful to keep the lens clean and without scratches or fingerprints. With a smartphone, however, we often put our fingers on the lens, or we rub the camera lens in our pockets, very often ruining it. Clean the lens with a micro-fiber cloth or choose a cover that protects the lens.
8. Select the best photos
You don't have to share all your photos on social media. Let's say you took 40 images today. Select, save and share only the best ones. So you will undoubtedly look like a better photographer! ;)
